SRX Interoperability (Dual Band) Boards from Vertex Standard

The SRX-1 and SRX-2 boards are optional sub-receiver boards for the
VX-4100 VX-4200 mobile. The SRX-3 and SRX-4 boards are for the VX-920 portables.
In operation, this gives the cross-band (dual band) function. The board
gives ability to monitor each others frequency (UHF to VHF and VHF to UHF).
The system gives cross-band compatibility and agencies do not lose the
ability to communicate within their own system.

The optional sub-receiver units make it easy to monitor an alternate
band. If your Police Department is on UHF, they can easily monitor VHF
fire frequencies. Get both departments on the new Interop/Boards and they
will have complete crossband operation in a simple, inexpensive package.
Single UHF or VHF transmit with dual-band receive makes Public Safety operations
less stressful and more productive.

Wideband Frequency Ranges

The new VX-920 has the widest frequency range we have ever offered.
VHF: 134 MHz - 174 MHz, UHF: 450 MHz - 512 MHz

For Example

We have a major incident occurring. Police and Fire Captains want to
communicate directly and coordinate their response. How? With Police on
UHF and Fire on VHF?

The optional receiver boards add the ability to monitor each others
frequency.

For this demonstration, two police Captains are communicating. The Fire
Captain needs to contact one of the Police Captains.

He picks up his mic and calls to Police Captain Johnson. Police Captain
Johnson hears the call, picks up his mic and responds. How is this possible?

In all respects to the operators of the mobiles, the system is completely
dual band. They are communicating from VHF to UHF and UHF to VHF. At the
same time, not losing the ability to communicate within their own system.
All made possible by the addition of the optional receiver boards within
their mobiles and portables.
